Reliance Jio New Record : The Reliance Jio has crossed 50 million subscribers within three months after its launch. This milestone has bagged Reliance Jio another record. Earlier it set a record by enrolling 1000 customers per 60 seconds and six lakhs customers per day. Reliance Jio has now set a new record by becoming the fastest growing company in the world by reaching 50 million subscriber mark in just 83 days.
Reliance Jio Crosses 50 Million Subscribers in 83 Days
The Bharti Airtel has also achieved the 50 million subscribers feat, but it took 12 for it to reach the milestone. Whereas Vodafone one of the most popular network services in India after Airtel took 13 years to reach this mark. Reliance Jio Infocomm has launched its first 4G services in the market on September 5th. At that time Airtel, Vodafone, and Idea were in top position in the market.
With its amazing offers, the Reliance Jio has acquired 16 million users in just one month. With crossing 50 million subscribers in just 84 days the Reliance Jio has reached one fifth of Bharti Airtel subscribers. Bharti Airtel has a total of 262.67 million mobile subscribers as per October 2016 report. Whereas Vodafone has 201.90 million subscribers and Idea Cellular has 180.25 million subscribers. The data was officially released by cellular association COAI. This data is only applicable up to October 2016. The November report has not been out yet.
As per the latest reports, Reliance Jio has become the largest digital services operator in India with a large number of Jio broadband users surpassing overall Airtel 3G and 4G customers in last six years i.e about 41 million users. Based on the comparison on only 4G service, Reliance Jio users are five times greater than Bharti Airtel and 17 times greater than Idea cellular 4G users.
In his previous statement at Reliance Industries Limited 42nd, annual general meeting Mukesh Ambani Ambani has said that JIO will cross 100 million subscribers in a short period and create a world record. Which means a total of 250 crore gigabyte data will be used per month.
Reliance has launched Jio 4G with unlimited call and data usage until December 31st to give a tough competition for the rivals Bharti Airtel, Vodafone and Idea Cellular.
From next year ie on 1st January 2017 the users will be charged for data usage with tariffs starting at Rs 19 a day for occasional data users, Rs 149 per month for low data users and Rs 4,999 per month for heavy data subscribers. Reliance has promised to keep Jio voice calls and roaming services free for lifetime.
