Uttar Pradesh NTPC Blast Updates: A massive explosion took place in NTPC Unchahar plant in Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place on Wednesday leaving 22 people killed and nearly 100 people got injured. The investigation is going on to know the reasons behind the explosion in a boiler. All the people who have suffered injuries are undergoing treatment in a hospital in Lucknow. Also, the discharge of the people from the hospital took place after completing the first aid. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of two lakh rupees for the families of the people dead.

Also, he announced the compensation of 50,000 for the people who are severely injured and 25,000 for the people who do not have major injuries. As per the NTPC statement, there was an abnormal sound around 3:30 PM. Hot gases and steam have come out affecting a large number of people present at the area. Soon after the incident took place, the ambulance and the other higher officials have rushed to the spot of the incident. The rescue operations took place immediately soon after the occurrence of the boiler explosion.
A huge ball of dust have risen at the spot of the incident and many people fell unconscious. Due to the huge dust and the release of gases, the rescue operations have become a bit difficult. National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team was also present at the place of the incident to carry rescue operations. The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath is on an official visit to Mauritius. So, he ordered the authorities to take necessary steps for the rescue and the relief of the people.
