This is the annual process of the company to see the employees who are not performing to the expectations are fired out. Also, the appraisal performances will be made on a regular basis which involves business objectives, priorities of the organisation, and requirements on the basis of clients.

The evaluation process also includes a series of actions with mentoring, retraining and upskilling. Still, Wipro did not officially mention about how many employees are being fired out. Wipro is not at all the first company to fire out employees. Already, the IT firm cognizant has fired nearly 6000 employees as part of performance appraisals. Infosys also fired a large number of employees this year due to automation.

Wipro will declare the total number of employees to be fired out on 25th April.  The companies are also redeploying employees who are fired out in the name of automation.  Therefore, the hiring of candidates for IT firms has decreased a lot due to automation.

Most of the revenue comes from the foreign countries to the IT firms. The companies will send the employees to work on the client side for a stipulated time period with a work visa. But, Donald Trump has made the H1-B visa laws strict. Hence, this might also be a reason for firing the employees.
