Colombia Plane Crash Live Updates : A tragedy news for Brazilian peoples. The plane carrying Brazilian football team Chapecoense crashed near Colombian.As per the reports, all the 22 football team members along with 72 passengers 9 crew member were traveling through the plane. The plane was on its way to Medellin international airport to play Copa Sudamerica finals against Atletico Nacional on 30th November 2016.
According to Colombian media reports the aircraft crashed to due electrical difficulties. Before the crash, the Chapecoense has posted live stream on their official Facebook account of Brazilian football team checking into their flight. The team was supposed to play its final match on Wednesday with Atletico Nacional team.
Plane Carrying Brazilian Football Team Crashes
As soon as the airport officials received the plan crash report, they immediately sent a search team to the location. But due to bad weather the search team had to turn back before landing on the crash site. As per the reports, the area was covered with heavy fog which prevented helicopters from landing.
La Ceja mayor Elkin Ospina has reported that 25 bodies have been recovered from the crash site and Medellin police estimated that over 75 people died in the crash.
From the airport officials reports, the plane started in in Sao Paulo, Brazil, at 3.35 pm and made a stop at Santa Cruz de la Sierra before setting off for Colombia.
From the statement given by the José Maria Córdova airport, at 10. PM local time a plane travelling from Santa Cruz had declared an emergency because of electrical shut off between the municipalities of La Ceja and La Unión in Colombia.
Colombia’s El Tiempo newspaper reported that 22 players of Brazilian football team Chapecoense has boarded the plane.At first, the team was supposed to board with 23 players but due to unknown the 23rd player did not travel on that day. Along with the squad members, there were also 22 football journalist on the plane.
According to the latest reports from the Columbia, all the 22 players have lost their lives in the plane crash. Among the 80 people travelling on the flight, only six people have survived in this tragic crash.
The Brazilian football team Chapecoense did not believe the news and started praying for the safe return of their favorite team.
Still, the rescue search is going on at the crash to recover all the bodies. After examination, the bodies will be sent to their respective families. Let all the deceased may rest in peace and may God give their families the strength.
